The POSCO-MALAYSIA Story

Posco Malaysia is a prominent subsidiary of Posco, a global leader in steel production. Established to cater to the growing demands of the Malaysian market, Posco Malaysia has a rich background rooted in innovation and excellence. The company's story is one of continuous growth and commitment to quality, making it a key player in the steel industry. Specializing in Electro Galvanized Iron (EGI), Posco Malaysia leverages advanced electroplating techniques to produce high-quality, corrosion-resistant steel products. These products are essential for various applications, offering superior durability and a smooth, paintable surface. With a focus on sustainability and cutting-edge technology, Posco Malaysia continues to set industry standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to the development of the steel sector in Malaysia and beyond.
The EGI plant project in Pulau Indah was jointly conceived by Malaysian engineers and EGI specialists from POSCO, one of the largest steel mills in the world, operating 750kt/yr EGI lines in Korea.
Attracted by the growing demand for EGI products globally and Malaysia's continuous industrial development, the partnership was formed to construct and manage the first fully integrated high-technology electrogalvanising plant in Malaysia, located in Phase 2 of the Industrial Zone at Pulau Indah, Port Klang.
